What incredible community conversations we had!
In this time of radical change and adaptation, the Moreland Democracy Lab created a space for online community discussions that had community-led action at their centre. These forums were an opportunity for community members, leaders and advocates to come together, share experiences and knowledge, learn from each other and collectively imagine what we want for our communities moving forward.

Monday 15 June – New ‘Normal’
There is plenty of talk about ‘going back to normal’, but maybe instead of going back to normal we should be imagining a new ‘normal’? How do we make sure that the many different groups and communities in Moreland can participate in shaping change and our new understanding of ‘normal’?
Monday 22 June – Collective Action
Community-led work always has better outcomes when we come together and collaborate. Many can achieve much more than any one group, especially when there are so few resources and many competing demands. How can we take collective action so that our impact is greater and which different roles do we each play?
Monday 29 June – Radical Change
Within weeks, change that might have seemed radical beforehand was possible. We quickly found ways to adapt, and things we once might have thought too difficult became the norm. Now that we know radical change can happen, what other change can we imagine for our community?
