This Panel of up to 10 community members will review Community Grant applications and help choose which community projects get supported. It’s a great way for local community members to have a direct say in which community projects get funded in Merri-bek.

No prior experience necessary – just a commitment to achieving great outcomes for Merri-bek!

What’s Involved?

Induction Workshop – Thursday 12 March, 5.30pm – 8.30pm (compulsory)
Meet your fellow panel members and learn the assessment process. We’ll give you all the tools and knowledge you need to assess applications confidently.

Individual Assessment – 16 March to 10 April (approx. 10 hours, flexible timing)
Review approximately 30 applications in your own time. You’ll read about exciting community projects and score them using clear criteria we’ll provide.

Panel Meetings – Monday 13 April, 5.30pm – 8.30pm and Thursday 16 April, 5.30pm – 8.30pm
The best part! Discuss applications with other panel members and decide together which projects to recommend for funding.

Panel members will receive a $200 honorarium to thank you for your time.
